Doç. Dr. Musa Gümüş 1979 yılında Ordu/Akkuş'ta doğdu. İlk, orta ve Liseyi Ankara'da bitirdi. 2000 yılında Selçuk Üniversitesi Fen-Edebiyat Fakültesi Tarih bölümünü kazanarak 4 yıl tarih tahsil etti. 2004 yılında Gazi Üniversitesi Sosyal Bilimler Enstitüsü Tarih Anabilim Dalı Yakınçağ Tarihi Bilim dalını kazanarak üç yıl yüksek Lisans seviyesinde tarih tahsili gördü. 2007 yılında da yüksek lisansını “1848 İhtilâlleri Sonrasında Osmanlı Devleti’ne Sığınan Leh ve Macar Mültecileri’nin Osmanlı Modernleşmesine Etkileri” teziyle tamamlayıp tarih uzmanı unvanını aldı. Bu tez, “Osmanlı Modernleşmesinde Yabancılar - Leh ve Macar Mültecileri” adıyla kitaplaşmıştır. Aynı yıl Selçuk Üniversitesi Sosyal Bilimler Enstitüsü Tarih Anabilim Dalı Yakınçağ Tarihi Bilim dalı doktora programına girdi. Doktora eğitimi sırasında, 2009 yılında Muş Alparslan Üniversitesi Fen-Edebiyat Fakültesi Tarih bölümüne Araştırma Görevlisi olarak atandı. Doktora öğretimini “Sultan II. Abdülhamid’in Mısır Politikası” adlı teziyle 2013 yılında tamamladı. Bu tez de, “Güç ve Diplomasi: Mısır Meselesi ve Sultan II. Abdülhamid” adıyla kitaplaşmıştır. 2014 yılı şubat ayında Muş Alparslan Üniversitesi Fen-Edebiyat Fakültesi Tarih bölümüne Yrd. Doç. Dr. olarak atandı. 2016 yılında da aynı unvanla Adnan Menderes Üniversitesi Fen-Edebiyat Fakültesi Tarih bölümüne atanan Musa Gümüş, aynı üniversitede Doçent Dr. unvanıyla çalışmalarını sürdürmektedir.
Musa Gümüş, çalışmalarını Osmanlı son dönemi de için alan yakınçağ tarihi alanında yoğunlaştırmıştır. Özellikle Yakınçağ Osmanlı tarihi, Türk Modernleşmesi, Mülteciler Meselesi, Türk Düşünce tarihi ve Osmanlı diplomasi tarihi konularında yoğunluktadır. Bu alanlara dair makale, bildiri ve kitap bölümü gibi çalışmaları vardır. Musa Gümüş, evli ve üç çocuk babasıdır.

The Journal of Ictimaiyat aims to contribute to the literature in the field of Social and Human Sciences. In this context, the journal publishes research articles, review articles, translations, case calendar/case presentations and book reviews from fields such as History, Literature, Philosophy, Sociology, Psychology and Socio-Economics. Aiming to bring original and new perspectives to the literature in these fields, İçtimaiyat also helps easy access to information with its open access policy. The journal publishes a special issue on a specific topic each year. Thus, İçtimaiyat aims to deal with a subject in detail and to contribute to the academic world in this way.
Scope
Ictimaiyat Journal publishes in the field of Social and Human Sciences. The general issues of the journal, published twice a year, accept studies in the fields of History, Literature, Philosophy, Sociology, Psychology and Socio-Economic. The scope of special issues, on the other hand, accepts studies in other Social and Human Science branches within the framework of the determined subject title.

The Journal of İçtimaiyat is published twice a year in May and November. Special issues are published in September.

Ethical Principles and Publication Policy
The authors who will send articles to İçtimaiyat should scan their articles in one of the plagiarism programs (İthenticate or equivalent) and upload the similarity report to the system together with the article.
Journal editorial boards can scan articles for plagiarism.
The similarity ratio should be less than 15%, excluding footnotes and the bibliography.
İçtimaiyat uses the ithenticate program for the similarity report.

The Journal of İçtimaiyat does not charge any fees during the publication process.
